    Jenny is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (since 2007). She also draws on other models such as systemic and attachment.   • Andy Lodwick

    Andy’s currently employed in the NHS as a Principal Psychologist and has over 30 years’ experience of working in mental health services. Andy is a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. He’s particularly experienced at working with complex trauma, low self-esteem and a range of anxiety disorders. Andy’s main psychological models are CBT, Compassion focused therapy and EMDR as well as being trained and having worked extensively with DBT and schema therapy.

    Prior to his current role Andy was employed as lead psychological therapist in Cardiff and Vale’s Psychological therapy hub for 10 years, leading on CBT interventions for Panic, OCD, GAD, Social anxiety, PTSD and phobias. Andy qualified in CBT at Southampton University in 2011 and has been a BABCP accredited CBT therapist since 2012 and he’s a BABCP accredited CBT supervisor. Andy qualified in Compassion focused therapy in 2024 and uses Attachment focused models such as compassion and EMDR to work with developmental and interpersonal trauma. Amo has extensive experience delivering primary care level CBT within NHS pathways, the private sector, and charitable services. Amo provides both in-person and remote therapy in-line with NICE guidelines for a wide range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, and long-term health conditions.

    Amo has delivered high-intensity CBT across primary care services, supporting clients referred via GPs, insurance providers, corporate organisations, and charitable foundations. She also has experience developing and leading psychoeducational programmes on stress, anxiety, self-esteem, and anger management, alongside facilitating wellbeing and peer-support groups. She has a particular interest in women’s mental health, working with trauma presentations, work related stress and burnout, as well as supporting clients with the psychological impact of long-term health conditions.     Gerwyn Jones

    Gerwyn qualified as Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1998. In 2002 he gained a first-class honours degree in Nursing Studies at Swansea Metropolitan University. Between 2004 and 2023 Gerwyn worked as a lecturer/senior lecturer in mental health nursing at Cardiff University, where he held senior roles. In 2006 he acquired an MSc in Mental Health and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Cardiff University in 2018.

    He achieved Accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) in 2021. Gerwyn combined working as an academic with roles in the NHS as a High Intensity Therapist in Community Mental Health, Primary Care and as a Community Veterans Mental Health Therapist. This was particularly rewarding as he served in the Royal Air Force prior to becoming a mental health nurse. Since October 2024 Gerwyn has been working as a lecturer on the Post Graduate Diploma in CBT at Cardiff University. This is the only multi-professional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programme in Wales accredited by the BABCP.

    Gerwyn has a proven record of helping clients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety and Depression. He has supported clients with adjustment issues associated with being diagnosed with terminal illness and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Gerwyn is a recognised CBT provider with insurance companies including Aviva, BUPA and AXA PPP. He also takes referrals on a self-funding basis. Gerwyn works with adults only.

  • David Hitt

    David has been a registered mental health nurse since 1997. He has a first class honours degree in Nursing as well as an honours degree in Biology. He has been practicing CBT since 2005, after achieving a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. He is a CBT accredited practitioner with the BABCP, as well as a member of the NMC. He is also trained in Eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR). His areas of specialist interest include Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Phobia and Panic Disorder, though he is also experienced in the treatment of PTSD, Health Anxiety and Depression.

    David currently works within the NHS where he has had a variety of roles over the last 28 years. He currently works within the in-patient unit in Llandough Hospital. David also works on the only BABCP level 2 accredited post graduate CBT course in Wales, having been involved in its developed over ten years ago. He is also involved in the Clinical Psychology doctorate training. Both of these programmes are run from Cardiff University.

  • Dr. Neil Kitchiner

    Neil is a Consultant Psychotherapist with over 40 years experience of working in NHS mental health services within the UK (England/Wales) and Australia.

    Neil is Director and Consultant Clinical Lead for Veterans' NHS Wales. He holds an Honorary title: Senior Research Fellow with Cardiff University.

    Neil uses a mixture of CBT and trauma focused psychological therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Conjoint Therapy (for treating couples where one or both have PTSD) and the Muss Rewind Technique. He is also interested in the treating insomnia with CBTi.

    Neil is a recognised CBT accredited therapist with BABCP since 1999 and a EMDR practitioner.

    Neil is currently only taking referrals for medical legal therapy cases with adults with trauma symptoms and PTSD.

  • Josephine Delahay

    Jo is a psychotherapist, lecturer, trainer, and supervisor with over 30 years of experience in mental health. After beginning her career as a mental health nurse, she retrained as a psychotherapist in 2008 and has since specialised in supporting people affected by trauma within the NHS.

    Her experience includes working with medical and acute trauma, as well as veterans, paramedics, firefighters, refugees, and people seeking asylum. Between 2018 and 2024, she was a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, teaching on the postgraduate Diploma in CBT programme.

    Jo works with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, phobias, depression, low self-esteem, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). Her therapeutic approaches include EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) training. Jo also offers preparation and integration support for individuals exploring psychedelic experiences, helping clients process and integrate these experiences safely and meaningfully. She does not provide or facilitate psychedelic experiences.

    Jo works with young people aged 15+ and adults, offering both short and long-term therapy online and in person. She is recognised by major insurers including Bupa, Cigna, and Aviva, and also accepts self-funded referrals.

  • Deborah Kitchiner

    Deborah trained as a Registered Mental Health Nurse at the University of Birmingham before taking up a post in the private sector, within an adolescent inpatient setting at Priory Hospital, Bristol. Deborah then worked in an NHS acute psychiatric setting before working in the Cardiff & Vale UHB Mother & Baby Unit at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

    Deborah trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist at the University of Birmingham in 2005, obtaining an MSc with distinction.     Alisha is experienced in supporting adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Alisha specialises in supporting those who have experienced trauma at any stage of life, whether from a single event or prolonged, complex experiences. She uses evidence-based therapy to support recovery and to help clients move towards the life they would like to be living.

    Alisha draws flexibly on a range of evidence-based therapy approaches to meet the needs and preferences of her clients. Briony currently works in a specialist perinatal community mental health team in the NHS. Briony utilises evidence-based approaches, including CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), in her work with adults, children and young people.

    She works with a range of difficulties including anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, phobias, and low self-esteem. However, Briony welcomes anyone who feels they may benefit from support. She also has a special interest in supporting parents during the perinatal period and those who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss.

    Briony recognises coming to therapy can feel daunting, therefore aims to create a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals can talk openly and feel supported to navigate the complexities life can bring.     Amy is the director of Dragonfly Therapy which has been established since 2019. Amy is lucky to have her practice based in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, South Wales.

    She works with all age ranges and utilises her experience and skillset to help with mental health difficulties and trauma. Amy’s personal passion is helping children who experience challenges which maybe stopping them moving on and enjoying life. Amy’s philosophy is to work at the pace of each client and help them to achieve their own goals.

    Amy is an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant for children, adolescents and adults. She is also trained in Internal Family Systems (level1), Dialectical behavioural therapy and is a certified EMDR Sand tray practitioner. Amy is a member of EMDR UK Association and chair of the EMDR Child and adolescent SIG. Amy has a particular interest in depression, PTSD, anxiety and OCD. She uses a playful approach with young children to help them heal from trauma. As a Consultant EMDR Therapist Amy also offers Clinical Supervision to EMDR therapists.
